The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Laravel Developers to support the design, development and maintenance of TableReady’s hospitality technology platforms. The successful developer will work on scalable backend systems, APIs, database-driven applications and feature enhancements.
This opportunity is ideal for developers who enjoy building reliable, high-performance web applications and working independently on commercial technology projects.
What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain and improve Laravel-based web applications.
- Build secure backend systems using PHP and Laravel framework.
- Create RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Design and optimise MySQL database structures and queries.
- Develop authentication, user management and role-based access systems.
- Build custom features for hospitality platforms and business applications.
- Work with Laravel packages, queues, jobs and background processes.
- Improve application performance, security and scalability.
- Troubleshoot bugs and provide technical solutions.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers and business teams.
Essential Laravel Development Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel framework.
- Good knowledge of Laravel MVC architecture and best practices.
- Experience with Laravel migrations, models, controllers and Eloquent ORM.
- Understanding of MySQL database design, relationships and optimisation.
- Experience creating and consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of authentication, security practices and data protection.
- Experience with Git version control and development workflows.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frontend integration.
- Ability to independently manage development tasks and deadlines.
- Own computer, development environment and reliable internet access.
- Right to work and operate on a self-employed basis in the UK.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Laravel Nova, Livewire or similar Laravel tools.
